Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to halt strikes on Ukraine on voting day if Kyiv “genuinely wants to hold election,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

Peskov’s remarks came a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv was ready to hold a vote if Russia agreed to a 60-day ceasefire.
