Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Thursday began a visit to the Lebanese capital Beirut where he is expected to meet with senior officials.

Lebanon’s official news agency said the Qatari plane carrying Al Thani arrived at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, where he was received by Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

At Thani on Friday is scheduled to meet with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and Salam.

His meetings will also include Lebanese army commander Gen. Rodolphe Haykal and General Security chief Maj. Gen. Hassan Choucair, according to the agency.
