The report also called for the creation of a dedicated Night-Time Economy Commissioner, a role meant to coordinate support across government agencies and advocate directly for affected businesses. Industry groups have previously described navigating government processes during disruptive construction as a "multi-agency maze." The ACT government has not yet responded formally to the review's recommendations. Business advocates said a quicker, more coordinated relief process would help venues survive prolonged construction periods without permanently closing.
