South Korea on Friday sought military talks after tensions erupted on the Korean Peninsula following last month’s explosion inside the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
据韩联社报道，韩国国防部副部长金洪哲在首尔对记者表示：“关于军事分界线（MDL）仍存在不同认知。”
“Different perceptions remain over the Military Demarcation Line (MDL)," Deputy Defense Minister Kim Hong-cheol told reporters in Seoul, according to Yonhap News.
他补充道：“韩国国防部特此正式提议，与朝鲜当局举行南北军事会谈，共同核实陆地军事分界线位置，恢复军事通信线路，并讨论防止边境意外冲突的措施。”
“South Korea's Defense Ministry hereby officially proposes holding inter-Korean military talks with North Korean authorities to jointly verify the locations of the land-based MDL, restore military communication lines and discuss measures to prevent accidental clashes along the border," he added.
自9月21日三名韩国士兵在非军事区内爆炸中受伤以来，分裂的南北双方的口头交锋不断升级。首尔指责平壤，后者予以否认。
Verbal exchanges between the divided Koreas have escalated since Sept. 21, when three South Korean soldiers were wounded in an explosion inside the DMZ. Seoul has blamed Pyongyang, which rejected the accusations.
金洪哲还提议，在与平壤的拟议会谈中，邀请由美国主导的联合国军司令部（UNC）参与，该司令部负责管理和执行管辖边境地区的《停战协定》。
Kim also offered to include the US-led UN Command (UNC), which administers and enforces the Armistice Agreement governing the border area, in proposed talks with Pyongyang.
