Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky travelled to Oslo to meet US envoys, pressing Washington over a delayed shipment of Patriot interceptor missiles already paid for by European allies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky travelled to Oslo on Tuesday for talks with US envoys, as Kyiv pressed Washington over a stalled shipment of Patriot interceptor missiles already paid for by European allies. Norwegian officials said the meeting was meant to put the diplomatic track back on what they called a "more constructive path".

The visit comes as relations between Kyiv and the Trump administration have cooled since the United States reached an agreement with Moscow last week to resume purchases of Russian diesel. Zelensky said the missile delay, paired with reduced intelligence sharing, has left Ukrainian air defences more exposed just as Russian strikes on energy infrastructure intensify ahead of winter.

European governments that helped fund the Patriot order are pressing Washington to release the systems without further delay. No date has been set for the missiles to ship, and officials in Kyiv say the outcome of the Oslo talks will shape how quickly European capitals move to cover any shortfall themselves.
